Chinese clothing labels follow the national standard GB/T 1335 and look like 170/88A: 170 is the height in cm the garment is cut for, 88 is the chest or bust in cm, and the letter is the fit. A is regular, Y is slimmer and B is fuller.

Source: the label structure and the size tables come from Travel of China's size chart guide, which cites GB/T 1335. Checked 29 October 2026. I have not tested these against garments myself. Trust the centimetre columns over the letter and country sizes, and measure your own chest. Taobao sellers usually post their own chart, and many brands cut smaller than the standard, so between two sizes I would go up. See the trouser size chart for trousers.
